چکیده

Background: Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) are heterogeneous groups of connective tissue diseases. Diagnosis IIM is sometimes challenging, but newly defined myositis specific autoantibodies (MSAs) helpful in diagnosing and revealing the clinical signs [1]. Objectives: To describe demographic features IIMs to evaluate frequency associations myositis-specific associated antibodies (MAAs) IIM. Methods: Samples obtained from patients tested for MSA/MAA as 2017 2020 were retrospectively evaluated. Patients diagnosed with according clinician diagnosis. The prevalence myositis-related assessed univariate multivariate analysis. Results: 152 (70.4% female) during study period. 81 (38 DM, 43PM). DM at an earlier age its association malignancy was more relevant, although relationship not statistically significant. Differences characteristics between PM skin which frequent interstitial lung disease common patients. MSAs/MAAS found 65.4% 43.2% patients, frequently than without (p=0.000 0.0225, respectively). MSAs equally both groups, whereas MAAs group (although no significant difference overlap other diseases within these two diseases). most anti-TIF1-γ (23%), anti-MDA5 (16%), anti-NXP2 (13%) anti-Jo-1 (28%), (12%), anti-ku anti-PL7 (12%) respectively. Predictors ILD Anti-Jo-1 positivity (RR:10 [CI:2-41] p=0.003 RR:1.07 [CI:1.02-1.12] p=0.04 respectively) Conclusion: general frequencies similar literature, except that (14%) our Turkish cohort [2]. Clinical features of lupus myositis versus idiopathic myositis: a review of 30 cases.

Myositis is a rare but well-recognized complication of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It is reputed to be milder than primary myositis in terms of morbidity and treatment response. This study compares clinical and laboratory features of idiopathic inflammatory myositis in patients with and without evidence of SLE overlap. We performed a case note review of 30 patients with probable or defi...

Clinical Usefulness of Autoantibodies in Idiopathic Inflammatory Myositis

One of the most important characteristics of systemic autoimmune diseases, including idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM), is the immune response to self-antigens manifested by the production of autoantibodies that recognize a variety of cytoplasmic and nuclear antigens. In the last 40 years, autoantibodies of patients with IIM have been investigated; however, some of the fundamental questi...

[Myositis specific and myositis associated autoantibodies in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies: a serologic study of 46 patients].

OBJECTIVE To characterize serum autoantibody profiles of patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) by searching for myositis-specific (MSA) and myositis-associated (MAA) antibodies with sensitive and specific laboratory tests. METHODS We tested the sera from 46 Caucasian patients diagnosed as affected with IIM at the Division of Rheumatology of Padova University (21 polimyositis,...

The Myositis Autoantibody Phenotypes of the Juvenile Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies

The juvenile idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (JIIM) are systemic autoimmune diseases characterized by skeletal muscle weakness, characteristic rashes, and other systemic features. In follow-up to our study defining the major clinical subgroup phenotypes of JIIM, we compared demographics, clinical features, laboratory measures, and outcomes among myositis-specific autoantibody (MSA) subgroups...

Demographic and clinical features of inclusion body myositis in North America.

INTRODUCTION Few studies of the demographics, natural history, and clinical management of inclusion body myositis (IBM) have been performed in a large patient population. To more accurately define these characteristics, we developed and distributed a questionnaire to patients with IBM. METHODS A cross-sectional, self-reporting survey was conducted. RESULTS The mean age of the 916 participan...
